Recent experience
What the work has actually looked like.
Recent work spans strategic market access, reimbursement, procurement and operational support for pharmaceutical and medtech clients in New Zealand. Clients are not named, and engagements are described by their shape rather than by who they were for.
Due diligence across a whole portfolio
Feasibility and due diligence assessments spanning entire portfolios of medicines and medical devices, covering commercial prospects, funding pathway and the realistic likelihood of progress in New Zealand.
Pharmac tenders and government RFPs
Involvement in the Pharmac Annual Tender and Vaccines Tender, and in the Prostate Cancer and Biologics RFPs, both leading supplier bid teams and participating as a member of them.
Reimbursement strategy and submission development
Developing the reimbursement strategy for new medicine funding applications, reviewing submissions drafted in-market or offshore, and supporting submission development through the Pharmac process.
Multiproduct proposals and negotiation
Developing, executing and negotiating multiproduct proposals for Pharmac, alongside contract negotiation, pricing research and pricing approval support.
Stock issue management
Active management of ongoing supply issues, including weekly meetings with Pharmac for the duration, to maintain engagement and reduce a supplier's exposure to contractual penalties.
Private health insurance engagement
Engagement with the private health insurance channel for a medical device, as an access route alongside or instead of public funding.
Strategy workshops and team capability
Facilitating strategy workshops to align internal teams and define clear market access pathways, and upskilling commercial and market access teams on the New Zealand regulatory and reimbursement environment.
Medtech sector engagement
Attendance at the MTANZ conference and ongoing engagement with the broader New Zealand medtech sector.
On confidentiality
Market access work involves commercially sensitive pricing, negotiation positions and portfolio strategy. Clients are not named here, and engagements are described in a way that does not identify them.
The same discretion applies to your work. If you would like to speak to a previous client before engaging, that can usually be arranged directly and privately rather than through a page on a website.
Start a confidential conversation
Send a brief outline of your product, project or access question, and we can talk through your situation and whether the support is the right fit.
